WELCOME! RIBBIT, RIBBIT, RAH, RAH, RAH, GO FROGS GO! Monika Scott This is my second year as a coach for Dale City Frogs. It is an honor and a pleasure to be associated with such a great team. My coaching career began as a swim instructor for Swim America where I learned, not only detailed techniques and skills but the reasoning behind them; allowing me to convey a clear message to the swimmers. After my tenure with Swim America I moved on to do private lessons, teaching one on one. This allowed me to dedicate time in teaching children not only the great sport of swimming but also the joy. From private lessons I moved onto coaching year round with the Prince William Swim Club (PWCS) also known as The Amberjax. I had the distinct pleasure of swimming with the Amberjax for over 10 years. I also have experience with health and nutrition, not only in weight loss and weight management but the interaction between food and the body which allows me to educate swimmers on how an athlete is able to utilize food maximizing their output - not only for swimming but in every day life. Barbara Claybrooks Kate Cronje This is my second year coaching for the Frogs, working with the age group 9 & under. I started swimming when I was 11 and continued to swim through my senior year in high school. During my time in high school I coached Special Olympics swimming. I am now going into my senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Painting/Printmaking, and minoring in Psychology. I plan on attending Eastern Virginia Medical School after I graduate in order to become an art therapist. |
